Homemade Chex Mix

This Homemade Chex Mix is a simple but tasty snack! Great for holiday baking!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Cheerios
1 cup Cashews
1 cup Spanish peanuts
1 cup Large Halve Pecans
1 cup Rye Chips
1 cup Pretzels
3 cups Chex Cereal (1 cup wheat, rice, and corn)
⅓ cup Melted Butter
4 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
½ teaspoon Garlic Powder or Garlic Salt
1 teaspoon Onion Salt
1 teaspoon Celery Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl mix together cereals, pretzels, nuts, and chips. (If you don't like the burnt shriveled cheerios in your mix, then set them aside for a few minutes instead of mixing them in)
  3. Mix the melted butter, worcestershire, garlic, onion and celery salts. Then pour over the cereal mixture. Stir very well. (If you did not add cheerios earlier you can add them now)
  4. Spread mixture onto cookie sheet that has sides or split the mixture between two baking sheets. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool and serve. Will stay fresh for a few weeks in a ziplock bag!
